The boy was going around selling the lottery tickets in Duc Hoa Commune when a masked woman on a motorbike approached him. She asked to buy some tickets, and while the boy was flipping through the stack, she suddenly snatched the entire bundle and sped off. Believing the woman's claim that she had an electric bicycle to give him, the boy immediately gave chase, pedaling furiously after the motorbike.
Security camera footage later showed the child's desperate pursuit, which ended in a hard fall to the ground as he lost control of his bicycle. The boy was left with scraped and bruised arms and legs from the crash, crying on the road.
