10M Euro Cannabis Haul Seized in Louth

Irish authorities recently intercepted a substantial quantity of cannabis in the Co Louth area. The operation, a collaborative effort between the Irish Revenue Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, led to the discovery of 506kg of the illicit substance. This seizure represents a significant blow to drug trafficking operations, with the cannabis estimated to be worth over 10 million euro.
Following the successful raid on Friday, law enforcement officials have taken three men into custody. The arrested individuals, comprising two men in their 30s and one in his 50s, have been charged in relation to the drug haul. They are expected to appear at a special sitting of Dundalk District Court on Saturday evening, where further proceedings will take place.
