This holiday season, US parents are expected to spend an average of $548 on gifts for their kids and teens, a significant increase from $461 last year. Additionally, one in three young consumers are requesting fandom-related items, reflecting their digital-centric lifestyles and interests in shows, games, and online creators.

The survey findings suggest that social media is the top influencer on teen wish lists at 44%, though the fandom trend is also gaining ground at 40%. Brands will need to stay top-of-mind for all shoppers, as nearly 50% of parents plan to start their Christmas shopping before November.
