- Unveils modular NU IQ platform for new SUV range by 2027
- Aims to have 10 lakh EV production capacity by 2027

As of August 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra, the Mumbai-based auto major, is actively scouting for a land parcel to set up a new greenfield manufacturing plant. This move is aimed at ramping up the company's production capacity to cater to the growing domestic and export markets.
Alongside the expansion plans, Mahindra has unveiled its all-new modular, multi-energy NU IQ platform. This platform will support a new range of SUVs, with the first product roll-out expected in 2027. The multi-energy platform has been engineered to address untapped opportunities across India and global markets.
In addition to the new platform, Mahindra is also looking to bolster its service network by adding 150-200 outlets per year. This is to ensure the company can provide the best possible customer experience as its vehicle parc continues to grow by 10-15% annually. The company currently has around 1,100 service outlets and is focused on enhancing its presence in both urban and rural/semi-urban regions.

Mahindra's ambitious plans also include a target of achieving a 10 lakh production capacity for electric vehicles (EVs) alone by 2027. The company has already submitted a letter of interest to the Maharashtra government to acquire 350 acres of land in Igatpuri, where it already has manufacturing facilities in Nashik and Igatpuri.
