Fashion Jewellery Brand Rubans Secures Major Investment, Poised for Expansion

On July 31, 2025, it was announced that private equity firm Ananta Capital has acquired a majority stake in Fonte Fashions India Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of fashion jewellery brand Rubans. Founded in 2017 by Chinu Kala, Rubans has grown from a mall kiosk into a digital-first fashion jewellery brand.
The new investment from Ananta Capital marks a significant milestone for Rubans. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its product design capabilities, enhance its omnichannel presence, and invest in marketing and community engagement. Chinu Kala and co-founder Amit Kala will continue to lead the brand as it enters its next phase of growth.
Ashutosh Taparia, part of the Taparia family and Founder and Managing Partner of Ananta Capital, expressed the firm's excitement to welcome Rubans into its portfolio.
