Apple Shifts iPhone Production Dominance from China to India

According to a recent report, Apple has undergone a significant shift in its global supply chain, with the majority of iPhones sold in the United States now being manufactured in India. This marks a major change from the past, where China had been the dominant production hub for Apple products.

Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed this transition, stating that while China continues to manufacture most Apple products destined for international markets, India has emerged as the leading source for iPhones sold in the US. Additionally, Vietnam has become the primary production location for other Apple devices, such as MacBooks, iPads, and Apple Watches.

This supply chain diversification comes amid criticism from former US President Donald Trump, who had expressed dissatisfaction over Apple's move towards Indian manufacturing. However, the company's focus on India extends beyond just production, as Cook also noted strong revenue growth in the country, driven by robust iPhone sales.
