S Anantharaman officially assumed the role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at YES Bank on Wednesday. This appointment signifies a significant move in strengthening the bank's risk management capabilities.

With a career spanning more than 30 years in banking and financial services, Anantharaman brings a wealth of experience to YES Bank. He most recently served as the group chief risk officer for Jio Financial Services. Prior to that, he held the position of chief risk officer at Bank of Baroda.
His professional journey also includes senior leadership roles at prominent institutions like HDFC Bank and L&T Finance Holdings. Academically, Anantharaman is a distinguished Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), underscoring his strong financial and risk management qualifications.
