In a strategic move, global hospitality group Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with J City Group and Trinidad Hospitality to manage the new Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City hotel in Malaysia. This collaboration marks an expansion of the Wyndham Garden brand on the east coast of the country.
The Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J-City is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026. The 361-room property will be located on Jalan Merdeka in the center of Kuantan, Pahang, and is set to become the tallest building in the area. The hotel will feature suites ranging from 743 to 1,299 square feet, as well as a multi-purpose hall for meetings and events.
Guests will also have access to an Olympic-size infinity pool, a gymnasium, a jogging track, and a playground within the landscaped grounds. The hotel's strategic location places it in close proximity to major sites such as Kuantan 188, Esplanade Kuantan, and East Coast Mall.
