Flipkart's Big Billion Days Boost Walmart International Sales
21 Nov
Summary
- Flipkart's Big Billion Days event positively impacted Walmart International's Q3 FY26 revenue.
- Walmart International's net sales grew 10.8% to $33.5 billion in Q3 FY26.
- The timing benefit of Flipkart's BBD event will negatively affect Walmart's Q4 growth.

Walmart International's revenue in the third quarter of FY26 experienced a significant uplift due to the strategic timing of its Indian e-commerce subsidiary Flipkart's Big Billion Days (BBD) event. This boost contributed to an overall international revenue growth of 10.8%, amounting to $33.5 billion.
In constant currency terms, net sales for Walmart's International business saw an even greater increase of 11.4%, with Flipkart, China, and Walmex leading the growth. E-commerce sales within the International segment rose by a substantial 26% during the October-December period.
While the timing of Flipkart's BBD event provided a welcome surge in Q3, Walmart noted that this benefit will consequently lead to a negative impact on the company's growth projections for the fourth quarter. The advertising business also saw a 34% rise, partially attributed to the BBD event's timing.
