WA Gold Project Reveals "Crown Prince" Similar Signatures
27 Oct
Summary
- Modern exploration techniques identified gold targets at Abbotts project.
- Spectral signatures resemble those of a nearby producing gold mine.
- Assays from recent drilling at Rochefort are expected soon.

PLC Resources has identified a suite of gold targets at its Abbotts gold project in Western Australia's Murchison region. Modern exploration techniques, including satellite-based assessment, have pinpointed prospective ground.
The Abbotts project is situated within the historically rich Abbotts Greenstone Belt. Recent high-tech analysis, combining hyperspectral imagery with existing geological data, has revealed compelling spectral signatures similar to those of the nearby producing Crown Prince mine.
First-priority gold targets have been identified at several locations, including Rochefort, where a recent reverse circulation drilling campaign concluded. Assays from this campaign are expected in the coming weeks. PLC Resources is planning further field verification and anticipates aircore testing programs in the first quarter of 2027.
Further to the south, the Crown Prince mine has demonstrated significant gold resources and is currently in production. Nearby exploration activity is high, with other companies also advancing programs in the Murchison region, known for its historic goldfields.
