Volkswagen is preparing to introduce a facelifted version of its Taigun compact SUV in India. Spy shots reveal a heavily camouflaged prototype, indicating that the primary focus of this update will be on cosmetic changes.
Expected exterior modifications include a sharper grille, sleeker LED headlamps, and a revised bumper. At the rear, new LED tail-lamps and updated bumper styling will contribute to a fresher appearance. The interior is anticipated to retain its current layout but may feature new color schemes to add variety.
Key interior features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system are expected to continue. Under the hood, the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will remain, producing 115 PS and 178 Nm. However, the six-speed automatic transmission is set to be replaced by a new eight-speed automatic unit, aiming to enhance fuel efficiency and driving refinement.
