Volkswagen Group announced it has now delivered a total of four million all-electric vehicles since the launch of its first model in 2013. The company highlighted the accelerating pace of its electric vehicle (EV) adoption, with the most recent million EVs being delivered in a single year.
Europe remains the primary market for Volkswagen's EVs, accounting for over two-thirds of all deliveries. China follows as a significant market, representing 20% of sales, with the U.S. making up 8%. The compact vehicle segment, featuring popular models such as the VW ID.3 and ID.4, is the most successful, comprising around 70% of all EV deliveries.
Over the past two years, Volkswagen has introduced approximately 60 new models across its brands, with one-third being fully electric. Currently, over 30 all-electric passenger car models are available, alongside electric trucks and buses. The group plans to launch more than 20 new models this year, with about half of them being electric, including new offerings for the Chinese market and an urban electric car family for Europe.
