This ambitious expansion is projected to be completed by 2028, aiming to transform the port into a major global trade hub. The project will see a substantial increase in the port's capacity and infrastructure.
The port's capacity is set to surge from 1 million TEU to 5 million TEU, with the berth expanding from 800 meters to 2,000 meters. New facilities, including a railway yard and liquid terminal, will be established. Remarkable operational performance has already been observed, with the port handling 1.513 million TEUs in its first year of operation, connecting directly to major global ports.
