Vietnamese automaker VinFast is preparing to launch its VF MPV 7 in India, marking another expansion of its electric vehicle offerings. This new model joins the existing VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs and is positioned to compete with established players in the segment. The VF MPV 7 has a distinctive design, measuring 4740 mm in length, 1872 mm in width, and 1734 mm in height, and includes premium features.
Inside, the MPV 7 offers practical amenities such as a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, multiple charging ports, and a height-adjustable driver's seat. Safety and convenience features include a tire pressure monitoring system, all-disc brakes, and an electronic parking brake. The vehicle is powered by a 60.1 kWh battery, providing a claimed range exceeding 500 km. Its front-mounted electric motor is expected to produce around 150 hp and 280 Nm of torque, with three driving modes and regenerative braking.
The VinFast VF MPV 7 is designed for both city driving and family trips, with an acceleration of 0 to 100 kmph in under 10 seconds. Pre-bookings commenced on April 2nd with a token amount of Rs 21,000. A fleet operator version is also planned for the future, indicating a broad market strategy for this new electric MPV.
