VinFast is significantly boosting its presence in India by focusing on electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The company's EV charging division, V-Green, has entered a strategic alliance with ChargeZone to establish a dedicated charging network for VinFast customers throughout the country.
This partnership represents VinFast's first co-branded charging collaboration in India and is poised to support the upcoming launch of its electric vehicles. V-Green will lead location identification and deployment planning, while ChargeZone will manage the operational aspects of the charging stations.
The initial co-branded charging facility has been launched in Vadodara, Gujarat. This station features a 60 kW DC fast charger and is strategically located for customer convenience. Currently, 15 such stations are functional across India, laying the groundwork for VinFast's expanding network.
Further expansion is imminent, with V-Green and ChargeZone committing to install approximately 100 additional charging stations over the next six months. These will be situated in major urban centers, along national highways, and on crucial travel corridors, greatly enhancing charging accessibility.
V-Green, a Vingroup entity, already operates a substantial charging network in Vietnam and has expanded into other Asian markets. ChargeZone, a major player in India, boasts over 15,000 charging points across numerous locations, specializing in high-speed charging solutions.
This collaboration is set to ease concerns about charging availability for potential EV buyers in India, thereby promoting wider adoption of electric mobility. The initiative will bolster VinFast's market entry and contribute to India's growing EV ecosystem.
