Victoria Gold Mine Tunnels Greenlit!

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated has secured approval for its work plan concerning the exploration tunnel at the Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria, Australia. This pivotal milestone allows the company to progress from exploration success toward potential mine development by providing crucial underground access to high-grade mineralisation.

The approved exploration tunnel, or decline, is designed to facilitate significant resource expansion and definition both along strike and at depth. Furthermore, it will enable the collection of vital geotechnical data essential for future mine design and the assessment of mining methods and equipment. This underground access offers a more efficient means of mapping mineralisation compared to surface drilling alone.

Environmental and community impacts were minimized during the tunnel's design phase, with site establishment slated to begin next month. The company is also actively pursuing secondary approvals under the Water Act and the Environment Protection Act. This initiative represents a major advancement for the Sunday Creek project, positioning it for potential commercial viability.
