In a major leadership change, veteran sales executive Sally Habbershaw is set to replace Valérie Vleeschhouwer as the new Chief Distribution Officer at Mediawan Rights. The move comes as Mediawan is relocating its distribution arm from Paris to London, a "pivotal milestone" in the company's international expansion plans.
Habbershaw, who was previously the Americas sales chief at All3Media International, will now be responsible for overseeing Mediawan's global content sales and acquisitions strategy. She will lead the distribution efforts for the group's 80 production companies, which include prominent names like Plan B Entertainment, See-Saw Films, and Leonine Studios.
Vleeschhouwer, the current CEO of Mediawan Rights, will be exiting the company after playing a key role in its sales unit growth since 2017. She will support the transition and work alongside Habbershaw during a transition period before her departure.
Mediawan's chairman and co-founder, Pierre-Antoine Capton, expressed excitement about Habbershaw's appointment, stating that her "expertise and vision will be essential through this new phase of Mediawan's global development." The company is positioning this leadership change as a crucial step in its international expansion strategy.
