Veteran Content Dealmaker Departs Fremantle After 3 Years

Fremantle, the global production and distribution giant, is parting ways with Shirley Bowers, its Senior VP of U.S. Sales & Distribution. Bowers, a veteran content dealmaker, has departed the company after three-and-a-half years in the role.
During her tenure, Bowers played a key part in striking deals to bring international shows such as the British drama series Domino Day and the comedy Wreck to U.S. audiences. She also worked on the distribution of the Natalie Dormer-starrer White Lies.
In a LinkedIn post, Bowers expressed her excitement for a new chapter, stating, "In an industry where the only constant is change, it feels right to embrace a new chapter of my own." She noted that her time at Fremantle has "strengthened [her] passion for creative collaboration, smart dealmaking and building partnerships that cross borders and move businesses forward."
Bowers, who previously worked at Red Arrow Studios International and Fox International Channels, is now exploring new opportunities in global content strategy and partnerships. Fremantle has confirmed her departure but has not yet announced a replacement.
