29 May
Summary
- Vedanta achieved its highest domestic credit rating in over a decade.
- ICRA upgraded Vedanta's long-term ratings to AA+ with a Stable outlook.
- Short-term ratings were reaffirmed at the highest level of A1+.

Vedanta's stock experienced a notable increase of over 1%, reaching an all-time high after the company announced a significant achievement in its creditworthiness. This development stems from ICRA, a prominent rating agency affiliated with Moody's, bestowing Vedanta Group entities with their highest domestic credit rating in over ten years.
The agency's upgrade action saw key Vedanta Group entities receive an enhanced long-term rating of AA+ coupled with a Stable outlook. Specifically, Vedanta Land and Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd (VAML) were upgraded to AA+/Stable. Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd (TSPL) also saw an improvement, moving to AA-/Stable from a previous A+/Watch Developing rating. Furthermore, the group's short-term credit rating was firmly reconfirmed at the superior A1+ designation.
