These grants are designated for the 2026 funding cycle and will address critical needs in healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency within West Virginia's Cabell, Lincoln, Mason, and Wayne counties, and Ohio's Gallia and Lawrence counties.
Among the recipients are three organizations in Lawrence County: Harvest for the Hungry received $20,000 to provide nutritional drinks to seniors, RLB Ministries/Backpack Buddies received $20,000 to supply food to 750 students across 19 schools, and the Tri-State Literacy Council was granted $25,000 for adult learner tutoring and programming. These grants underscore a community commitment to stability and opportunity for all residents.
