Union Bank of India has officially announced key senior management transitions. Shri Bhaskara Rao Kare, the former Chief General Manager, concluded his service with the bank on January 31, 2026, upon his superannuation. This development paved the way for Shri Sarvesh Ranjan's elevation.
Effective February 1, 2026, Shri Sarvesh Ranjan has been appointed as the new Chief General Manager. An engineering graduate, Ranjan possesses nearly thirty years of diverse banking experience. He has been instrumental in overseeing critical functions such as Central Reconciliation, Transaction Monitoring, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations for the bank.
Ranjan's career spans various domains within the bank, including branch operations, regional management, and corporate functions. His expertise is further augmented by advanced leadership training from institutions like the University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland, and ISB Hyderabad. He also holds certifications in IT and Cyber Security from IDRBT, Hyderabad, highlighting his forward-thinking approach to banking technology and security.
