This output marks a significant 55% increase compared to the previous year, attributed to favorable hot and dry summer conditions. The vintage saw a remarkable surge in white wine production, up by over 131% from 2024 levels.
Despite regional variations, with some areas expecting lower yields, the overall growth reflects a positive trend. The number of registered vineyards increased by 4% to 1,158, and the total area under vine expanded by nearly 3% to 4,357 hectares. This growth contributes to the sector's value of £14 billion and supports over 10,000 jobs.
