12 Feb
Summary
- Delivery robots are being tested in Bristol and Milton Keynes.
- Robots aim to support delivery services during Valentine's Day.
- Trials follow successful robot delivery schemes in Switzerland.

Ahead of the Valentine's Day rush, delivery robots have been deployed in key UK cities. This initiative aims to support the surge in takeaway orders typically experienced around February 14th. Trials are currently underway in Bristol, utilizing Delivers.AI robots, and in Milton Keynes, with RIVR robots. These automated delivery units will transport orders from ten independent restaurant brands directly to customers' homes.
The deployment is part of a larger strategy to innovate and enhance delivery experiences. The company is collaborating with specialized organizations to ensure effective learning and implementation of ground robotics. This UK trial mirrors a successful program conducted in Switzerland, where robots completed approximately 1,000 deliveries. Additionally, drone delivery experiments are being explored in Ireland as part of a broader commitment to autonomous last-mile logistics.
