UAE Events Canceled Amid Iran Conflict Escalation
14 Mar
Summary
- JPMorgan and Partners Group canceled upcoming events in the UAE.
- Partners Group moved its investor gathering from Abu Dhabi to Switzerland.
- JPMorgan rescheduled its MENA conference from Dubai to an unannounced location.

Major financial institutions are canceling and rescheduling events in the United Arab Emirates due to escalating regional tensions. JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Partners Group Holding AG have both opted to move their planned gatherings away from the UAE.
Partners Group has moved its annual global investor gathering from Abu Dhabi to a location near Zurich, Switzerland, scheduled for April 13 and 14. Similarly, JPMorgan is rescheduling its MENA Global Opportunities Conference, an event for institutional investors and executives, which was slated for Dubai on March 30 and 31.
These decisions follow a broader pattern of disruptions, including the postponement of the Token2049 crypto conference in Dubai. The UAE has recently faced attacks as part of an Iranian response, which has raised concerns about its standing as a secure regional hub. Some Wall Street firms are allowing employees in the UAE to work remotely as a precautionary measure.
Despite these cancellations, firms like Partners Group intend to re-establish their presence in Abu Dhabi once the situation de-escalates. Partners Group, with a significant history in the Middle East since 2010, still plans to open an office in Kuwait and is considering holding its 2027 client AGM in Abu Dhabi.
