- Amino Capital was founded in 2012, after the Zoom investment was made.
TSVC, formerly TEEC Angel Fund, has publicly clarified its role in the 2011 seed investment in Zoom Video Communications. The firm is addressing inaccurate public statements made by Larry Li, Founder and Managing Partner of Amino Capital, which attributed the investment to him.
TSVC stated that Larry Li was not a General Partner of the predecessor TEEC Angel Fund I and was not responsible for the Zoom investment. Amino Capital was founded in 2012, after the Zoom seed financing had already been completed by TSVC in 2011.
This clarification comes after TSVC formally requested Amino Capital to correct these inaccuracies on June 22, 2026. TSVC believes that preserving accurate historical attribution is crucial for trust and integrity within the venture capital ecosystem.
