Triumph Tracker 400: Flat-Track Style Hits UK Roads

Triumph Motorcycles has introduced the Tracker 400 to the UK market, a new retro-styled roadster channeling classic flat-track motorcycle aesthetics. This model, built upon the Speed 400 platform, incorporates the more aggressive engine tuning found in the Thruxton 400, positioning it as a performance-focused option.

The Tracker 400 showcases a minimalist design emphasizing its flat-track roots, featuring a long, flat seat, a slim fuel tank, and a short tail. Cycle parts are largely shared with the Speed 400, including a hybrid steel frame, upside-down front forks, and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by discs with dual-channel ABS, and it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with knobby-style tires.

Powering the Tracker 400 is a 398.15cc liquid-cooled engine tuned for approximately 41.5bhp. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. While manufactured in India, its launch in India is considered unlikely due to recent GST price adjustments, though a future 350cc variant might be considered.
