Dutch mapping technology firm TomTom expects its revenue for 2026 to be steady or lower, forecasting a range of 495 to 555 million euros. This projection is influenced by a transition period where old contracts are winding down and new ones are ramping up, creating a temporary dip before future growth.
Despite the short-term revenue forecast, TomTom's automotive business has seen its order backlog climb to a record 2.4 billion euros by the end of 2025. Significant new contracts have been secured, including an AI voice interaction partnership with Amazon Alexa and an expanded cooperation with Uber.
Furthermore, TomTom has entered into a contract with Volkswagen's CARIAD for its advanced driver-assisted system-level map. The company's core Location Technology business is projected to generate between 435 and 485 million euros in 2026, with operating margins expected to increase. Annual operating profit has already turned positive, reaching 1.6 million euros, marking an optimization of the business for efficiency.
