The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation in Tiruchi has initiated a significant operation of special buses to accommodate the increased travel demand during the festival season. Starting Monday and continuing through January 15, over 1,300 special services are being deployed from the Kalaignar Karunanidhi Integrated Bus Terminus at Panjapur.
These special services are set to connect Tiruchi with numerous key destinations across Tamil Nadu, including major cities such as Chennai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, and Madurai. Pilgrims and travelers heading to religious sites like Thanjavur and Velankanni will also find these services convenient. Furthermore, additional town bus routes within Tiruchi city are being augmented from the integrated bus stand.
In a move to modernize ticketing, the TNSTC is strongly encouraging passengers to adopt cashless payment methods, particularly UPI. The corporation noted that a substantial portion of its passengers, exceeding 10%, are already leveraging this convenient payment option for their tickets. For ticket bookings, passengers are directed to the official website: https://www.tnstc.in.
