Thyssenkrupp Nucera Cuts Forecast on Rising Costs
18 Mar
Summary
- Company lowers full-year sales outlook to 450-550 million euros.
- Full-year EBIT expected to be a loss between 80 and 30 million euros.
- Higher expenses and contract termination impact green hydrogen segment.

Thyssenkrupp Nucera has revised its financial projections downwards for the current fiscal year, primarily due to escalating costs associated with its green hydrogen operations. The company now anticipates full-year sales to range between 450 million and 550 million euros, a decrease from its earlier forecast.
Furthermore, the company has adjusted its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) outlook, now expecting a loss of 80 million to 30 million euros. This segment-specific EBIT for green hydrogen is projected to be between a loss of 90 million and 125 euros.
The downward revision is attributed to higher-than-anticipated expenses on delivered models and the termination of a contract for a 20 MW pilot plant. These factors have collectively impacted the company's guidance for its green hydrogen segment, with sales for this area now expected between 120 million and 170 million euros.
