Tata Consultancy Services Asia Pacific has incorporated a new wholly-owned subsidiary in Bhutan, identified as Tata Consultancy Services BT Private Limited. This establishment, effective December 16, 2025, signifies TCS's commitment to expanding its business operations in Southeast Asia and supporting Bhutan's burgeoning need for digital transformation.
The primary objective of this new entity is to foster technological innovation and deliver high-quality IT solutions within Bhutan. Furthermore, the subsidiary is designed to cultivate local talent by providing employment and comprehensive training programs, thereby contributing to the nation's human capital development.
This expansion into Bhutan involved an initial investment of 90 million Ngultrum in cash. TCS will maintain 100% shareholding, ensuring full operational control. The incorporation did not necessitate any governmental or regulatory approvals, facilitating a swift establishment of TCS's presence in the region.
