The Lucknow plant, established in 1992, has a substantial annual capacity and produces a range of trucks and buses, including advanced electric and fuel-cell models. It spans 600 acres, supports over 8,000 jobs, and serves export markets. The plant operates entirely on renewable power and is recognized for its water positivity.
Chief Minister Adityanath highlighted the plant's success as a reflection of Uttar Pradesh's industrial potential and workforce capabilities. He emphasized the state's vision for economic growth, supported by a conducive business environment. Tata Motors reiterated its commitment to Uttar Pradesh's development and its role in shaping a future-ready mobility ecosystem.
In line with sustainability goals, the plant aligns its production with Tata Motors' net-zero 2045 target and Uttar Pradesh's 2070 ambition. The facility also runs skilling programs focused on dual training and apprenticeships, promoting inclusion for women and persons with disabilities.
