T-Mobile US Inc. is significantly expanding its reach in the high-speed internet market through the creation of two joint ventures focused on fiber infrastructure.
In a 50-50 partnership with Oak Hill Capital, T-Mobile will acquire and merge GoNetspeed and Greenlight Networks. This venture is anticipated to close in the first half of 2027, with T-Mobile investing approximately $2 billion for a 50% equity stake.
A separate, equal partnership with Wren House will see T-Mobile invest about $700 million for a 50% stake in i3 Broadband. This transaction is expected to conclude in the latter half of 2026.
Collectively, these deals are projected to extend high-speed internet services to more than one million additional homes nationwide. This expansion aligns with T-Mobile's strategy to offer diverse connectivity solutions, including both 5G wireless and fixed fiber, to its growing customer base.
