India's First Quick-Commerce Gas Cylinder Delivery Launched

India's Swiggy and Hindustan Petroleum Corp announced a groundbreaking partnership for doorstep deliveries of cooking gas cylinders. This marks the country's first such service facilitated through a quick-commerce platform, aiming to enhance accessibility.
The collaboration will initially provide smaller LPG cylinders, specifically 5-kilogram and 10-kilogram sizes, differentiating from standard 14.2-kilogram cylinders. A significant aspect is that customers will not require an existing HP Gas connection to purchase these cylinders.
This new delivery service will commence as a pilot program in Bengaluru. Following its initial rollout, plans are in place to expand the service to other major cities across India. The companies did not disclose specific pricing details for the cylinders.
