Suzlon Energy Profit Dips 6% Amid Revenue Surge

Suzlon Energy, a provider of renewable energy solutions, announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 2026 (Q1 FY27) on July 28. The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹305 crore, marking a 6% decrease compared to the ₹324 crore earned in the same quarter last year. This profit decline occurred despite a significant 22.5% rise in revenue from operations, which reached ₹3,819 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹3,117 crore in the prior year's corresponding period. The increase in revenue was attributed to heightened business activity. The company's EBITDA experienced a marginal dip to ₹595 crore from ₹599 crore, leading to a narrowed EBITDA margin of 15.6% from 19.2%.
In terms of operational performance, Suzlon achieved its highest-ever first-quarter deliveries, amounting to 506 MW, a 14% year-on-year increase. Commissioning activities also saw a substantial jump, growing 2.3 times to 269 MW. The company's cumulative order book stands at 6.1 GW, with a significant 84% of these orders originating from the public sector undertaking (PSU) and commercial and industrial (C&I) segments. Following the announcement of these earnings, Suzlon Energy shares saw a decline, falling by up to 5.6% to an intraday low of ₹50.15 on the BSE.
