Summary
- Court ordered forensic analysis of late tycoon's disputed will.
- Children of Karisma Kapoor fought for the Will's scientific scrutiny.
- Priya Kapur opposed forensic testing, citing privacy concerns.

A legal battle over the Rs30,000 crore estate of late tycoon Sunjay Kapur has entered a critical phase with a recent court order for forensic analysis of his contested Will. This decision by the Delhi High Court favors the claims of Samaira and Kiaan Kapur, children from Kapur's marriage to actress Karisma Kapoor. The siblings have consistently sought independent scientific scrutiny since November 2025, questioning the Will's authenticity and their father's true intentions.
The court mandated the forensic and handwriting examination of the disputed document, rejecting objections from Priya Kapur and her six-year-old son, Azarius. Their request for an adjournment was denied due to delayed filing of a reply, highlighting a perceived attempt to prolong the legal proceedings. This isolates Priya Kapur, as the Will's executor, Shraddha Suri Marwah, and Sunjay Kapur's mother, Rani Kapur, raised no objections to the forensic inspection.
Priya Kapur, who claims to be the sole beneficiary and asserts the Will was prepared in her presence, has vigorously opposed the forensic review. Her arguments, including claims of confidentiality and questioning the Registrar's authority, were dismissed by the court. Standard practice in high-value probate disputes includes such forensic examinations. Further hearings concerning call detail records and mobile device production are scheduled for March 10.
