Spectrum TV Adds Discovery+ for Free

Charter Communications is enhancing its Spectrum TV offerings by including Discovery+ at no extra charge for customers with higher-tier plans. This move brings a wide array of content from networks such as HGTV, Food Network, and Animal Planet directly to eligible subscribers. The ad-supported Discovery+ version, normally costing $5.99 per month, is now available to qualifying Spectrum TV customers. They also have the option to upgrade to the ad-free experience for an additional $4 per month.

This new bundle is part of Charter's strategy to increase the value proposition of its Spectrum TV packages. The company claims that the combined streaming services offered through its bundles, including Discovery+, provide over $125 per month in retail streaming value. While not entirely 'free,' as wholesale costs are factored into the overall service price, this integration aims to simplify subscriptions and offer cost savings to consumers.
