SpaceXAI: AI and Space Unite Under New Brand
7 Jul
Summary
- xAI has been officially rebranded as SpaceXAI following its merger.
- The company plans to build orbital data centers using a million satellites.
- SpaceXAI, along with X, went public recently with a $2.1 trillion valuation.

The AI company formerly known as xAI has officially adopted the name SpaceXAI. This rebranding follows the merger of Elon Musk's AI and space enterprises, which was initially announced in May. The new identity and logo were unveiled via posts on the social media platform X.
SpaceXAI's strategic vision includes building data centers in orbit, a move Musk suggested is the "only logical solution" to meet escalating global electricity demands for AI. Prior to the merger, an application was filed with the FCC to launch a million satellites for this purpose.
The combined entity, SpaceXAI, has also integrated X, previously acquired in 2025, under its brand. In June, SpaceX, including xAI and X, debuted on the public market, with stock closing at $161 and valuing the company at $2.1 trillion.
