Sony Music Publishing Nashville has finalized the acquisition of Big Yellow Dog Music, a prominent independent music publisher and artist development firm. This strategic move integrates Big Yellow Dog's comprehensive catalog and roster of songwriters into Sony's extensive music operations.
The acquired catalog features numerous hit songs, including major successes by Meghan Trainor and Maren Morris, as well as contributions to Kacey Musgraves' Grammy-winning album, Golden Hour. Hits from Chris Stapleton, Sabrina Carpenter, and Hozier are also part of the deal, spanning 26 years of musical creations.
