India's adoption of Enterprise AI and managed data cloud platforms is accelerating at a pace far exceeding global markets, as reported by Snowflake India Managing Director Vijayant Rai. The company is actively collaborating with leading digital native companies in India, empowering them to manage massive customer bases of up to 100 million users daily via its advanced data and AI cloud solutions.
Snowflake's financial performance reflects this strong growth, with product revenue reaching $1.23 billion, a 30% increase year-over-year for the fourth quarter ending January 31, 2026. Remaining performance obligations also saw a significant 42% year-over-year rise, indicating robust future contracted revenue. The company is bolstering its presence in India with a large go-to-market team and a Pune Center of Excellence for engineering and support, having doubled its sales team recently.
Rai highlighted that a strong data strategy is fundamental to AI success, with Snowflake enabling enterprises to overcome data silos and secure their information. The platform is also well-equipped to support India's compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, drawing on its experience with GDPR in regulated markets. Focused investments are being made in the public sector, aligning with the government's increasing openness to public cloud adoption.
The Snowflake platform offers flexibility by supporting over 15 leading Large Language Models (LLMs), with an openness to integrate emerging Indian models. This positions Snowflake as a critical partner for India Inc.'s ongoing digital transformation and AI journey, supporting a secure and robust data infrastructure.
