Summary
- A £16.6m housing project named The Hoplands will provide 52 specialist homes.

- Construction is slated to begin in spring 2027, with completion by autumn 2028.

The Hoplands, a £16.6 million housing development in Sleaford, has successfully secured funding. This project will introduce 52 specialist homes, comprising 40 extra care apartments for older people and 12 supported living apartments for adults requiring assistance to live independently. Lincolnshire County Council confirmed the funding, which comes from Homes England, North Kesteven District Council, and the county council itself.
Construction is projected to start in spring 2027, with the homes expected to be ready for occupation by autumn 2028. This initiative is considered vital given the increasing elderly population in the county, offering disabled working-age adults the opportunity for an independent life with necessary care and support.
Homes England is contributing £7.268m through its Social and Affordable Homes Programme. North Kesteven District Council will provide £6.42m, and Lincolnshire County Council will add £2.92m. There are also future plans to expand the site to include an additional 20 houses, further enhancing local specialist housing options.
