Shake Shack Fuels Growth in North Austin Suburb

Shake Shack, a New York City-based burger chain, is set to open its newest location in Georgetown, a growing suburb north of Austin, next Wednesday, September 9th. This expansion is part of a larger strategy by Shake Shack to establish more restaurants across Texas. The company has confirmed plans for two new Austin-area locations in 2026, one in East Village and another in Georgetown.

Further development includes a planned $1 million restaurant in Leander, anticipated to open in 2027, and a $1.3 million restaurant near Dallas expected to be completed by May 2027. The Georgetown Shake Shack will offer a 3,000-square-foot dining space with a drive-thru and digital menu. As part of its opening, Shake Shack will donate $1 for every sandwich sold to The Caring Place, supporting local residents in need.
