Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced on February 24, 2026, that it has received a Letter of Acceptance from Central Railway for a project worth ₹270.22 crore. The contract is for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a traction substation and associated components on the Daund-Solapur section.
This project, to be executed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, aims to support a 3,000 MT loading target. RVNL is expected to complete the entire work within a 24-month timeframe from the award date.
The scope includes a 220/132/55 KV Traction Substation with Sectioning Posts and Sub-Sectioning Posts, utilizing a 2 x 25 KV Traction System. RVNL confirmed the contract falls within its normal business operations and does not involve related party transactions.
