- Bombay High Court is now hearing the residents' plea.

Residents of Rustomjee Crown in Mumbai's Prabhadevi have filed a petition with the Bombay High Court after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) began demolishing foyer areas in their luxury apartments. The municipal action, which commenced on August 2nd, is scheduled to continue for a month. Approximately 140 flat owners, represented by 246 plaintiffs, are contesting the BMC's actions.
They argue that these foyer spaces were sold, documented, and fitted out as integral parts of their homes by the developer. Rustomjee Group has stated that Rustomjee Crown was developed in accordance with sanctioned plans and approvals. The company asserts it has committed no violations or non-compliance and is confident in the project's legality.
