Royal Enfield is set to introduce the Himalayan 440 on September 4, 2026, enhancing its adventure motorcycle range. This upcoming model is designed to be a more accessible and mechanically simpler adventure tourer, positioned below the Himalayan 450.
The Himalayan 440 aims to recapture the approachable spirit of the retired Himalayan 411, utilizing a modern yet straightforward mechanical package. Unlike the more advanced Himalayan 450, it will prioritize simplicity and affordability.
Powering the new adventure bike will be Royal Enfield's 443cc, air/oil-cooled LS440 engine, currently found in the Scram 440. This powertrain produces 25.4bhp and 34Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Expected to be priced between Rs 2.20 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh, the Himalayan 440 offers a compelling option for riders seeking an adventure motorcycle without the premium features of the Himalayan 450. This launch solidifies Royal Enfield's presence in the entry-level adventure segment.
