The company achieved a record Q1 FY27 performance, with Profit After Tax (PAT) surging by 212% year-over-year to Rs 545 crore. Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs 13.80, representing 54% of the full FY26 EPS.
The gas division reported its highest-ever EBITDA, experiencing a 296% year-over-year increase. This substantial growth was fueled by a 91% surge in distribution volumes and robust logistics operations that navigated geopolitical challenges.
A significant development was the commissioning of a specialized ammonia storage terminal at Pipava, secured by a 15-year take-or-pay agreement with Hindustan Zinc. This marked a new growth platform for the company.
Furthermore, Itochu Corporation made a strategic 10% investment in the Pipava terminal, with plans to increase its stake to 25% over three years, signaling strong confidence in the asset's long-term potential.
Multiple capacity expansions are in progress across Mumbai, JNPA, and Kochi, with strong demand anticipated to drive rapid utilization. Key infrastructure projects, including the Jamnagar-Loni LPG pipeline, are now operational, and the Kandla-Gorakhpur pipeline is expected to connect in H1 FY27, enhancing evacuation capabilities.
The liquids division also delivered its highest-ever Q1 EBITDA, growing by 28% year-over-year. The company maintains a strong financial position with a low gearing ratio of approximately 0.6 and substantial cash reserves.
The distribution business recorded 2.77 lakh metric tons in volumes, and management expressed confidence in sustaining EBITDA margins above Rs 7,000 per ton through procurement efficiencies.
