Rajasthan Land Payments Eased for New Sectors
24 Aug
Summary
- Rajasthan expands flexible land payment model to textiles, handicrafts, and food processing.
- Industries can now pay for land in installments over a 10-year period.
- This initiative aims to boost investment and create job opportunities in the state.

Rajasthan's industrial development agency, RIICO, has broadened its 'flexible land payment model' to include specialized sectors such as textiles and apparel, handicrafts, and food and processing. This strategic move is designed to enhance investment, expand industrial activities, and generate employment opportunities across the state.
Previously, sectors like logistics, semiconductors, and aerospace and defence were covered under this 10-year installment payment plan. The extended model now permits eligible industries to make land payments over a decade, with an initial 10% deposit and the remainder paid annually at an 8.5% interest rate.
This initiative complements state policies like the Rajasthan Data Centre Policy 2025 and the Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025. RIICO is also projected to invest over ₹1,500 crore in developing and upgrading industrial areas in FY27, underscoring a strong commitment to industrial expansion.
