- Eleven out of sixteen Zacks sectors show positive earnings growth.
- Magnificent Seven earnings expected to grow 28.7% in Q2.

The second quarter earnings season is off to a robust start, with over 300 companies, including major S&P 500 constituents, set to report. Early indicators suggest continued corporate strength, with a higher-than-average number of companies surpassing estimates and providing optimistic outlooks.
Overall S&P 500 earnings for Q2 are forecasted to grow by 25.3% compared to the previous year, accompanied by an 11.9% increase in revenues. The Energy sector is a significant growth driver, projected to see a 129.5% earnings increase. Even excluding the Tech sector's substantial contribution, aggregate earnings growth remains strong at 20.7% on an ex-Energy basis.
The 'Magnificent Seven' group is expected to post a 28.7% rise in Q2 earnings, a slight deceleration from Q1 but still a powerful market influence. Importantly, strength extends beyond this group, with the rest of the S&P 500 showing a healthy 24.3% earnings increase when the 'Magnificent Seven' are excluded.
