Porsche is set to release an all-electric Cayenne coupe in late summer, introducing a new four-door variant to its EV lineup. This model will join the existing base, S, and Turbo electric Cayennes, catering to a market that has shown significant demand for coupe-style SUVs.
The coupe variant of the gas-powered Cayenne previously captured a substantial portion of sales, suggesting the electric version, despite its six-figure price tag, is a promising venture for Porsche. The Cayenne Coupe Electric will coexist with its gasoline and hybrid counterparts, unlike the Macan, which is transitioning to an all-electric-only model.
Globally available, the Cayenne Coupe Electric will offer three trims: the base model starting at $113,800, the S Coupe Electric at $131,200, and the Turbo Coupe Electric at $168,000, before options. All models feature an 800-volt powertrain, air suspension, and a distinct roof design. Performance varies, with the base model offering up to 435 horsepower and the turbo version reaching an impressive 1,139 horsepower, comparable to high-performance EVs from other manufacturers.
While official EPA range estimates are pending, early real-world tests suggest approximately 360 miles on a single charge for Cayenne electric variants. Buyers opting for performance tires might see this range decrease slightly due to increased rolling resistance.
