Park Medi World Limited has approved the acquisition of a 100% stake in KP Institute of Medical Sciences (KPIMS) for ₹245 crore. This all-cash transaction represents a major expansion move for the hospital chain into North India, with KPIMS becoming a wholly owned subsidiary upon completion, expected by February 28, 2026.
KPIMS, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is a prominent 360-bed multi-specialty healthcare facility accredited by NABH. The acquisition aligns with Park Group's strategy of cluster-based growth, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and achieve economies of scale within contiguous geographic areas. Dr. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director, highlighted Agra as a high-potential market.
This move is part of Park Group's broader expansion, which currently includes 14 hospitals and 3,250 beds. The group plans to integrate six more hospitals, increasing its total bed capacity to 5,260 by March 2028. The acquisition of KPIMS, which reported revenues of ₹18.03 crore and ₹38.46 crore for its operating entities in FY25, is not considered a related-party transaction and requires no governmental approvals.
