Palm Group Boosts Packaging Power with Czech Firm

Palm Group has strategically acquired a 50% interest in Power Packaging, a Czech Republic-based company specializing in complex corrugated cardboard packaging. This move significantly broadens Palm's packaging division, enhancing its capabilities in customized corrugated solutions, particularly for products requiring extensive manual input. Power Packaging's expertise will be combined with Palm's established sales channels and production network.

The collaboration is poised to create new synergies, strengthen market positions, and drive sustainable growth. Power Packaging's managing director, Ralph Wakolbinger, emphasized the strategic importance of Palm as a partner for international projects. Notably, Power Packaging will maintain its existing organizational structure and management team, ensuring continuity.

This joint venture represents a key step for Palm Group in bolstering its presence in the European market for sophisticated packaging solutions. It also ensures Power Packaging remains under family ownership long-term, driven by shared business principles. This follows Palm Group's recent acquisition of five European plants from International Paper.
